I picked up some daily use contacts today since I wanted them for Fanime and jesus it’s so weird not having my glasses.

I’ve worn contacts before but right now it’s really weird because my bangs are long enough that they keep hitting me in the eyes and I’m still weirded out that I can see without having to wear my glasses.

On the bright side, now the only costume I have to be blind for at Fanime is Gil!

P.S. Daily use contacts are ssssooooo much nicer than the weekly/bi-weekly ones I used to wear way back when. Even the lens for astigmatism is so thin that you can hardly see it in the packaging.

And also I don’t have to deal with tossing them in a solution and cleaning them.

I’ve been wondering that myself! So far I’m doing a Fist of the North Star shoot and maybe that Madoka shoot if they want me. Madoka would probably work better in there.

I need to find someone to do DERP DEVILMAN pics. Because that’s all I really care about getting photos of. Luckily I can take the pictures of Tog as DERP AKIRA, which is all that really matters.

I should call my friend Chira before I forget and see if she can do it, since she’s one of the few people to ever take a decent picture of me.

Oh my god now that I’m actually socializing with other cosplayers, I totally see what you were talking about the cosplay community being really inbred, everyone knows everyone what.

But anyway this woman lies, she’s really great. She took really beautiful pictures of one of my costumes. She made me look really pretty and I’m a duck!

NO YOU LIE, you’re really pretty and that was a really lucky shot! I just found that one pic of you as Midori on my LJ though and the host totally compressed it, so I’m going to go cry into imgur’s bosom or something and reupload it there or here because it’s seriously one of the few photos of a real person that I’ve took that I’ve ever been particularly pleased with.

And yeah, we are so, so inbred it’s not even funny. I’m surprised all of us don’t have 6 toes or something.

*also I promise not to take up-nose shots and to do my best to avoid giving people a double chin in any photos I take, which is what people ALWAYS DO TO ME THE FUCKERS because I’m really tall. I wouldn’t want that done to me, so I won’t do it to you.

** unless you have a nice nose/jawline for an upnose shot, at which point we’ll do it if agreed upon.

Speaking of that, I need to see what the flying fuck is wrong with my light meter because it’s been a dirty liar for the past month. I might just reset my camera to factory settings and see if that helps. I need to do pics for Dany and I don’t want my meter screwing anything up. Need to remember to bring all my lenses, too. Except the micronikkor, which seems kind of pointless unless I want to take closeups of people’s pores or something.
